This was a really stinking good pie. I made it in the week of pie-fest, right around Thanksgiving where I made about 6 pies in a row. I LOVE PIE.

An exciting and wild family vacation. 1- a family pic at Crater Lake, which was an impromptu stop after the adventure of pics 2/3. 2 /3- N Umpqua River camping, a beautiful spot full of perfect water, colorful rocks, heavy current, hornets and an unfortunate wild fire departure 4- lake Diamond, a one night stopover after evacuating Umpqua, that “sunset” is the fire we fled. So many mosquitoes 5- our floaty boats at Lake Hosmer, more mosquitos 6- the ice cold waters of Devil’s Lake, when you get out your body (or just feet, bc no one put their body in) is so cold it feels like it’s on fire 7- last Blockbuster on earth 8- a surprise hotel night after so much chaos 9- a…”minor” issue with the VW in Sisters, but it’s an ‘89 VW, so how surprising is this really?.. 10- a final stop on the Matolious before heading home (a day early, because we’re so tired)

Where to start with this family vacation… Here we are in the middle of a lake in $20 inflatable dinghys from Fred Meyer. But my kids are fully prepared with their goggles.

Trying to stay cool.

It is harder than we thought, to do yoga in a river. I’m teaching free yoga again this Tuesday through @peoplesyogapdx. Join me as I finish out my teaching practicum. @eggmcmegg will be teaching Thursday and we’re both working towards ardha chandrasana, so join us both and see how fun and different the same pose can feel through two different perspectives.
